Power & Potential: Parents Empowering Youth through Leadership Development, Cultural Heritage and Community Service
The Nashville Chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Inc. welcomes you to our website!
Jack and Jill of America, Inc., founded in 1938, is a membership organization of mothers withchildren ages 2-19. We are dedicated to nurturing future African American leaders by strengthening children through leadership development, volunteer service, philanthropic giving, and civic duty. Today, Jack and Jill boast over 230 chapters nationwide, representing over 40,000 family members. Each chapter plans annual programming activities guided under a national theme. Through these plans, Jack and Jill of America create a medium of contact for children to stimulate their growth and development.
The Nashville (TN) Chapter was the first chapter chartered in the Southeastern Region in April 1947 and the twelfth (12th) chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Incorporated. Through the years we have included civic, cultural, social activities and educational programs for our children. Both the adult program and the age group programs have been stimulating and enjoyable. Our many speakers and panels have drawn upon the vast resources of the Nashville Community, and have helped us to rank among the most outstanding chapters of Jack and Jill of America, Inc. Sunday, May 13, 1998, we celebrated our 50th anniversary.
The Nashville parents and children are truly awesome, with talents abound.
